After such a huge loss the week before, we wondered if the Pittsburgh Steelers would come out swinging against the Seattle Seahawks. And they certainly did. But in the end, it was too little too late for Steelers as they came up just short, falling 28-26 to the Seahawks. Here are our three big takeaways:
Injuries had a major impact
Injuries came fast and furious for the Steelers this week. Linebacker Vince Williams, safety Sean Davis, running back James Conner and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger all went down with injuries, and that was really the difference late in the game. We can only hope these won’t be situations that drag on this season.
Mason Rudolph can play

In Roethlisberger’s place, Rudolph got his trial by fire in a high-pressure situation. And Rudolph answered in a big way, going 12-of-19 passing for 112 yards, two touchdowns and an interception that was not his fault.
Where do the Steelers go from here?

Sitting at 0-2, history says the playoffs are already out of reach. The Steelers now have to try to rebound and travel all the way across the country next week to take on a San Francisco 49ers team who whipped the Cincinnati Bengals 41-17 this week. Is the season over already?
