Three people were wounded Tuesday in shootings across Chicago.
The day’s latest shooting left a man injured in Park Manor on the South Side.
The man, 21, was getting into a ride-hailing vehicle about 5:45 p.m. in the first block of West 71st Street when he was shot, Chicago police said. He was hit once in the groin, and his condition was stabilized at the University of Chicago Medical Center.
Less than an hour earlier, a 20-year-old man was shot in West Town.
The man was walking with a group of friends about 5 p.m. in the 2100 block of West Maypole Avenue when someone approached and fired shots, police said.
He was hit in the thigh, and his condition was stabilized at Stroger Hospital, police said. The suspected shooter ran off.
A man was wounded in Tuesday’s first shooting during an argument in East Garfield Park on the West Side.
A group of five males were on a corner about 9 a.m. in the 700 block of North Hamlin Avenue when they began arguing and someone in the group drew a gun and fired shots, Chicago police said.
The 23-year-old was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition with a gunshot wound to his buttocks, police said.
The gunman wore black pants and a black hooded sweatshirt, and ran from the scene west on Huron Street, police said. No arrests have been made.
Three people were shot Monday in Chicago as well.
