3 shot at Sacramento-area home once rented by Willie Cauley-Stein

Three people were shot in the early hours of Friday morning on Clover Ranch Drive in the Vineyard-area of Sacramento County. Willie Cauley-Stein, who played the first four years of his NBA career with the Sacramento Kings and signed with the Golden State Warriors during this summer’s free agency, once rented the home.

CBS13 Sacramento reported that their station confirmed with people in Cauley-Stein’s camp that he no longer lives at the home and was not in the area at the time of the shooting.

Also according to CBS 13:

A total of three people were shot, deputies say, with one person suffering life-threatening injuries. Two other people were hurt in the incident, but deputies say they did not suffer gunshot wounds.

Suspect Trey Devaughn Hallman, who is reported to have carried out the shooting while wearing body armor, was arrested Friday afternoon, per CBS13, which also reported that Hallman is a driver for Lyft.
