Since moving to Los Angeles, the Rams’ national exposure and popularity has skyrocketed. It obviously helps that they’re one of the best teams in the NFL and reached the Super Bowl last season, so fans are tuning in to watch them play.
This year, they’ve been in the spotlight a lot thanks to their postseason run. Of the 10 most-watched sporting events of 2019 so far, the Rams played in three of them: Super Bowl LIII, the NFC championship and the divisional round game against the Cowboys.
The Super Bowl was predictably No. 1 on the list with 98.19 million viewers, and it’s not much of a surprise that the AFC championship between the Chiefs and Patriots beat out the NFC title game.
One would’ve thought the Rams and Cowboys in the divisional round would’ve beaten out the Eagles-Saints game, but that wasn’t the case.
It’s remarkable that the NFL owns each of the top 10 spots, beating out every other college football bowl game, NBA playoff game and the NCAA basketball championship. Even the NFL draft came in at No. 28, beating out the Stanley Cup Final Game 7 and the final round of the Masters.
