Paramount+ is a great place to find your weekend binge-watch, even without HBO Max, which hasn't merged with the streaming service just yet. Paramount's streaming service offers a wide variety of content from movies to live sports, but it also adds new shows or new episodes of ongoing series every week from a wide range of studios and networks. There are some Paramount+ originals, but it also pulls in. Plus, it pulls in new shows from CBS and coproductions with international studios. In short, there is a wide range of shows from a variety of genres at any given time.
This weekend, I've selected three shows that are a must-add to your watchlist. "School Spirits" just wrapped up season 3, and "Marshals" just debuted on CBS and Paramount+ last weekend. But it's no longer the new kid on the block; "America's Culinary Cup" is the newest series on Paramount+, having just debuted on March 4.
Read on for the three new to Paramount+ shows you need to binge-watch this weekend, and my take on why you need to watch them.
'School Spirits' season 3
Genre: Supernatural teen drama
What's it about? When "School Spirits" started, Maddie (Peyton List) didn't just disappear from her fictional hometown of Split River, Wisconsin; she was dead. Now, in season 3, she's back from the dead, but she still communes with the ghosts that haunt her high school.
Why you should watch it: Season 3 just ended with a bombshell ending, and this teen drama was already a hit with critics and fans. It is currently rated 94% by critics and 91% by audiences on Rotten Tomatoes, with this most recent season scoring a perfect 100% on its critical reviews. Stream all three seasons now to see what the hype is all about.

'America's Culinary Cup'
Genre: Cooking competition series
What's it about? Former "Top Chef" judge Padma Lakshmi has invited 16 chefs to compete for a grand prize of $1 million in the ultimate cooking competition.
Why you should watch it: If you like "Top Chef," then this show is a must-watch for you. It's essentially CBS's answer to the Bravo competition, but with the added twist of Lakshmi getting a chance to improve on things she didn't like in her previous competition series.

'Marshals'
Genre: Neo-Western drama
What's it about? "Yellowstone" fans, rejoice. "Marshals" brings back Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton, but this time, he's running the show. In this hybrid sequel/spin-off, the former U.S. Navy SEAL and rancher joins a specialized group of U.S. Marshals tasked with protecting the Montana wilderness.
Why you should watch it: A lot of "Yellowstone" actors are back in their original roles for this show, with Gil Birmingham, Mo Brings Plenty and Brecken Merrill reprising as Thomas Rainwater, Mo and Tate Dutton, respectively. If "Yellowstone" ended too soon for you, this series will give you your fix.
