3 new to Paramount+ shows you need to binge-watch this weekend (March 27-29)

Paramount+ logo on a bright green dot background.

Paramount+ is home to tons of great shows worthy of a weekend binge-watch. While the streaming service offers a wide variety of content from movies to live sports, it also adds new shows or new episodes of ongoing series every week. Plus, it pulls in new shows from Paramount's networks, like CBS, as well as co-productions with international studios, giving you a plethora of shows from a variety of genres.

This weekend, I've got three shows worthy of adding to your watchlist. First up is "Dreaming Whilst Black," an acclaimed British comedy that just wrapped up its second season. Then I have a pair of new Taylor Sheridan shows for you. There's "Marshals," which is the latest spin-off in the "Yellowstone" universe, and there's "The Madison," which just wrapped up its first season.

So read on for the three new to Paramount+ shows you need to binge-watch this weekend, and why you need to watch them.

'Dreaming Whilst Black' season 2

Genre: British comedy series

What's it about? Kwabena (Adjani Salmon) is a recruiter who used to be a film student. So when his old film school friend, Amy (Dani Mosley), comes back into his life, he decides to finally pursue his filmmaking dreams. In season 2, he finally gets a serious directing job, but he also gets all the demands that come with it

Why you should watch it: Season 1 was a smash success critically, and according to Rotten Tomatoes, so is season 2. Tough to do better than 100% accross 12 episodes to date.

'Marshals'

Genre: Neo-Western drama

What's it about? In this new show from the Sheridanverse, "Yellowstone" star Luke Grimes reprises his role as Kayce Dutton. "Marshals" is both a sequel and a spin-off to the original series, and follows the former U.S. Navy SEAL and rancher as he joins a specialized group of U.S. Marshals tasked with protecting the Montana wilderness.

Why you should watch it: Kayce isn't the only returning character from "Yellowstone." Gil Birmingham, Mo Brings Plenty and Brecken Merrill also reprise their roles as Thomas Rainwater, Mo and Tate Dutton. So if the original series (and I don't mean "Star Trek") ended too soon for you, this new show is a must-watch when it debuts on Paramount+ this Sunday.

Stream the first four episodes of "Marshals" on Paramount+ now (episode 5 arrives March 29)

'The Madison'

Genre: Drama series

What's it about? The Clyburn family, led by Preston (Kurt Russell) and Stacy (Michelle Pfeiffer), is suddenly forced to leave New York for Madison Valley, Montana, when a disaster strikes their family.

Why you should watch it: Fans of "Yellowstone" will probably like this new show from Taylor Sheridan. In my review of "The Madison," I found it to be too heavy melodrama and social commentary, but there's no denying that it looks gorgeous.
