3 Celtic talkers as Ange Postecoglou's side fire five past Kilmarnock at Rugby Park

3 Celtic talkers as Ange Postecoglou's side fire five past Kilmarnock at Rugby Park

TAYLOR IMPRESSING

Greg Taylor has often come in for criticism during his time as a Celtic player, but the Scotland international deserves major credit for his start to the season. With Alexandro Bernabei joining the club over the summer, pressure has been on Taylor to produce to keep his place. In all honesty, the 24-year-old has produced some of the best form of his career. He knows his position inside out and his ability to slip into the middle of the park and pop the ball around is impressive. His pass for Kyogo’s opening goal against Kilmarnock was brilliant.

JENZ SHOWING HIS WORTH

Moritz Jenz started his second game in a row as Celtic eased passed Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership. The German defender again looked solid alongside Cameron Carter-Vickers and he battled well up against Kyle Lafferty. Jenz also found himself on the scoresheet again and what a finish it was. The on-loan Lorient shifted his body expertly to produce an impressive overhead kick to make it 3-0 just before half-time. Unfortunately for Jenz he left the field on 55 minutes with an injury and Ange Postecoglou will be hoping the knock is nothing serious. Celtic have an option to buy Jenz upon the end of his loan deal and going by current form this is certainly something they should be thinking about.

JOTA STUNNER

Another week, another Jota wonder strike. The Portuguese attacker produced a moment of magic to make it 2-0 at Rugby Park and although there were question marks over the goalkeeper’s attempt to save, the power of the shot simply gave Sam Walker no chance. The Rugby Park strike won’t be Jota’s last stunner of the season, but he is proving how good a player he is. The former Benfica man is a level above the Scottish Premiership, and it will be interesting to see how he fares in the Champions League when the group stages come around.
