29 Days Until UGA Kickoff: Remembering Jarvis Jones

The Georgia Bulldogs are twenty-nine days away from kicking off in Nashville! Let’s remember number twenty-nine for the red and black: Jarvis Jones.

Jarvis Jones was the 2012 SEC Defensive Player of the Year. His incredible 2011 and 2012 seasons will forever be remembered by Georgia Bulldog fans. Jones was a first round pick for the Pittsburgh Steelers, but didn’t make the same impact in the NFL as he did at UGA. In Georgia’s first ever SEC game at Missouri, Jones came up huge:

Jones also played big-time against the Florida Gators. He stripped Jordan Reed in the final seconds to secure the win in 2012:

Georgia could really use a breakout pass rusher like Jarvis Jones this upcoming season. D’Andre Walker’s in the NFL, so if Georgia wants to win the SEC, then they will need to replace his production, while adding more pressure on top of that.
