PATNA: The state on Friday registered 277 new Covid-19 cases against 1,11,243 samples tested. The virus also claimed lives of two more people in the state in the last 24 hours.
While one of the victims had comorbidity, the other had no medical history.
With 338 more people recovering from the virus, the number of active cases has come down to 1,424 in the state. Patna is also witnessing a drop in the number of daily new cases. On Friday, it accounted for 82 new cases. Apart from Patna, Supaul has logged 38 new cases, Araria 33, Kaimur 18 and Purnia 17.
At 502, Patna had highest number of active cases in the state on Friday, followed by Araria (125), Supaul (117), Bhagalpur (85), Gaya (51) and Kaimur (51). Fourteen districts had active cases in one digit with Buxar accounting for just one.
Of 1,424 active Covid patients in the state, only 44 are undergoing treatment at different health centres, including 28 at dedicated Covid hospitals, 14 at private hospitals and one at dedicated Covid care centre.
Meanwhile, over 14.30 crore vaccine doses have so far been administered in the state, including 7.21 crore first dose, 6.39 crore second dose and 69.81 lakh precautionary dose.
