CHANDIGARH/SHIMLA: The northern states of Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh reported 244 new cases of Covid-19 on Wednesday and three deaths. Punjab reported 45 cases, Himachal 58, and Haryana 141 cases and three deaths. Of the day’s 42,909 vaccinations in Punjab, 10,029 were first doses and 32,880 second.
Haryana reported 248 recoveries and 19 of its 22 districts reported fewer than 10 cases. The day’s 21,425 vaccinations include 3,476 first doses and 16,983 second. Also, 966 people received the booster dose. On the other hand, Himachal reported 95 recoveries, and the state’s overall tally of 2,83,894 includes 488 active cases, 2,79,282 recoveries, and 4,105 deaths. Of the state’s 45,06,440 tests, 42,22,474 have been negative. tnn
