Tommy Fleetwood, at No. 4, is the top-ranked player in the field, and he got off to a solid start in his opening round at the Oaks Course at TPC San Antonio, a 5-under 67.
Twenty-three players in the field have a spot in next week’s Masters. For everyone else, a win this week would punch a ticket to Augusta. Brian Harman is the defending champion.
Collin Morikawa withdrew from the event on Tuesday. He still hasn’t played a round since pulling out of the Players Championship three weeks ago after playing just one hole.
