- Honda is offering several offers on the 2025 Prologue electric crossover.
- There's a $3,500 national bonus, separate discounts in ZEV states and conquest or loyalty bonuses.
- But you may or may not be able to obtain all those discounts depending on your city, state and dealership.
The Honda Prologue has been the unexpected success story of the past few quarters. It proves that buyers are willing to switch to electric vehicles as long as the badge on the grille is one they know and trust, even if the EV itself is not breaking any new ground. Throw in some generous discounts and you’ve got a deal that’s hard to ignore.
A report from car research platform CarsDirect claims that the 2025 Honda Prologue can be had with $16,500 in discounts. The eye-popping figure includes the $7,500 federal EV tax credit, a $3,500 national bonus from Honda, a $2,500 ZEV-state incentive (those that follow California's emissions rules like Colorado, New York and Washington), a $2,000 discount Honda noted in a recent bulletin sent to dealers and a $1,000 loyalty or conquest bonus for current Honda owners or those ditching a rival brand.
Is that even real? Well, yes and no.

Before you drop your jaw on the floor, there are several asterisks to that claim. In theory, those discounts can all be stacked on top of each other. But to unlock that big sum, you have to lease or finance the Prologue in a ZEV state, a list of which can be found here.
Plus, when you lease or finance an EV, the $7,500 federal clean vehicle credit goes to the lender—so the platform is assuming that the lender will pass on all of the $7,500 credit to the consumer. In reality, they may only pass on some of it, depending on your credit score.
All that is not even the hard part. The real hurdle is to find a dealership that’s willing to play ball and participate in offering these discounts. Online offers can look amazing, but buyers can struggle to find dealers who are willing to pass on those savings to consumers. It’s important to confirm with your dealer if they are applying the tax credit to the lease price and monthly payments before signing the lease agreement.
None of this is to say that the deals are a scam. They’re legit, and if you do your homework, you may be able to walk away with the best possible discount depending on your city, state, the dealership near you and your credit score. Even if you can’t snag the full $16,500 discount, you may still be able to stack some of the offers, if not all. So you may get the conquest deal, the national discount and some of the federal credit—which still isn’t a bad deal.

As we’ve noted in our best monthly lease and financing deals story, Honda has consistently offered the Prologue with significant discounts. Currently, the 2025 Prologue all-wheel drive is available with a low-mileage lease deal of $259 per month for 36 months with $3,999 due at signing. It’s also available with a low 0.99% APR financing for up to 60 months. If you’re looking for an outright purchase, it starts at $47,400, before destination.
