NEW DELHI: Delhi Capitals finally won the bidding war as they acquired the services of Australia’s Annabel Sutherland, who has a base price of Rs 40 lakh, for a whopping sum of Rs 2 crore in the 2024 WPL Auction in Mumbai on Saturday.

There was a massive war between Mumbai Indians and Delhi and the latter ultimately turned out to be the winner.
Phoebe Litchfield was the first player to go under the hammer in WPL Auction 2024. Gujarat Giants and UP Warriorz fiercely fought for the Australian all-rounder who has a base price of Rs 30 lakh. Gujarat ultimately sealed the deal and got the services of Litchfield for Rs 1 crore.
Uncapped India batter Vrinda Dinesh sold to UP Warriorz for a whopping sum of Rs 1.3 crore, which is 13 times her base price of Rs 10 lakh. Gujarat Giants spent a staggering Rs 2 crore for uncapped India bowler Kashvee Gautam - 20 times her base price.
The 20-year-old's base price was Rs 10 lakh. Both Gujarat and UP Warriorz bid for Kashvee before the former managed to secure her services for the second edition of WPL.
