A big-time quarterback prospect and Michigan State target plans to announce his college decision on Thursday afternoon.
Four-star quarterback Jake Merklinger of Savannah, Georgia, revealed his intentions on Tuesday morning.

Merklinger is listed as the No. 6 quarterback and No. 55 overall prospect in 247Sports’ composite for the 2024 class. He holds scholarship offers from more than 25 programs, including Michigan State, Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina and Auburn.
According to 247Sports, Michigan State is one of the top schools he’s considering, along with Tennessee, Georgia and North Carolina. At the moment, Merklinger is projected to end up at Tennessee.
