2020 NFL combine: Rams meeting with RBs, including Zack Moss

The 2020 NFL Draft is still nearly two months away, but teams have been hard at work studying the incoming class of prospects by watching film, talking to college coaches and vetting the players themselves. The combine is a hotspot for meetings to take place between teams and prospects, with each squad allotted 45 formal visits of no more than 18 minutes.

Teams can also meet informally with as many prospects as they’d like in Indianapolis, getting a feel for who they might be interested in come April. The Rams may not have Sean McVay or his coordinators at the combine, but they’re still meeting with prospects.

The list of reported meetings has been relatively thin for Los Angeles, but three have been noted thus far. And for the second straight year, the Rams are doing homework on running backs.

Here are the three prospects they’ve met with at the combine, including Utah stud running back Zack Moss.

Utah RB Zack Moss

Appalachian State RB Darrynton Evans

Syracuse DL Kendall Coleman

There’s been endless speculation about Todd Gurley’s future in L.A. with some suggesting he could be traded. The Rams just drafted Darrell Henderson in the third round last year, so their reported interest in this class of running backs is certainly interesting.

If Gurley is on the roster, running back is one of the last positions Los Angeles needs to address. The offensive line, defensive line and linebacker units are all expected to be greater needs for the Rams.
