2019 NFL Draft: Titans to host Baylor receiver and former Vols RB Jalen Hurd

As the 2019 NFL Draft approaches, the Tennessee Titans are taking advantage of some final opportunities to evaluate college prospects.

Per a report from A to Z Sports Nashville’s Luke Worsham, the Titans will host Baylor receiver and former Vols running back Jalen Hurd for a visit this week.

He will not be a part of the team’s local prospect day on Thursday, and is being treated as a Top 30 prospect.

After a star career at Beech High School in Hendersonville, Tennessee, Hurd pursued a college career at the University of Tennessee as a five-star recruit.

That hardly lasted, though, as he didn’t fit into the scheme will and had an underwhelming start to his junior season. Hurd, who realistically could have become the Vols all-time leading rusher, then decided to transfer to Baylor.

Once with the Bears, Hurd was required to sit for a year due to NCAA rules. Upon returning to action, he switched from tailback to wide receiver and exceeded 1,000 scrimmage yards, with seven touchdowns.

Jon Robinson and the Titans have the chance to keep Hurd in Tennessee for his professional career, but only time will tell if they make they move when the draft kicks off on April 25.
