2019 NFL draft: Panthers deal No. 187 pick to Broncos, pick up 2 late picks

Day 3 of the NFL draft is a fun slog and it just got a little longer for the Carolina Panthers and their fans. The team was scheduled to pick at No. 187 overall in the sixth round, but instead they have traded that pick to the Denver Broncos.

Carolina is getting the No. 212 (round six) and No. 237 picks (round seven) in exchange.

In the meantime, Denver has used the Panthers’ old pick on Colorado wide receiver Juwann Winfree.

It’s been an eventful couple of days for the Broncos, who picked up one of the year’s top quarterbacks in Missouri’s Drew Lock. It will be interesting to see how long it takes for him to take Joe Flacco’s job as the starter.

They also added Kansas State’s Dalton Risner, one of the best offensive line prospects in this class.
