2019 NFL draft day 3: When will the Chiefs make their picks?

The Kansas City Chiefs only have three more selections to make in the 2019 NFL draft.

After trading up into the second-round to acquire WR Mecole Hardman, the Chiefs are suddenly without a pick until the sixth-round of the draft. They surrendered their fifth-round pick, No. 167 overall, as part of the trade terms. The Chiefs had previously forfeited their fourth-round pick to the Bills in the Reggie Ragland trade.

So when do the Chiefs first pick on Day 3 of the 2019 NFL draft? Here are the three selections they currently hold:

  • Round 6: Pick No. 201
  • Round 6: Pick No. 214
  • Round 7: Pick No. 216

So the Chiefs will have a lot of picks in a short amount of time toward the end of the sixth round, and beginning of the seventh round.

It will be interesting to see if they stay put, or if they try and trade up in any capacity. Given the results of Day 2, I tend to think the Chiefs will be comfortable not moving around too much, unless a player they really happen to like falls.
