The Chargers selected Notre Dame defensive tackle Jerry Tillery with the No. 28 overall selection of the 2019 NFL draft.
Los Angeles had a huge need along the interior part of the defensive line, and the addition of Tillery helped shore some of that up. The 6-foot-6 and 295 pounder provides a player that has shown to get constant pressure due to his strength, length, athleticism and unique movement skills.
His presence should help defensive ends Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram get to the quarterback more often, too.
Tillery brings versatility to the table with the ability to play anywhere from the zero to five technique for L.A.
