There were disgraceful scenes in north Dublin over the weekend as a gang of "wild teen animals" allegedly beat up and stole from locals as people enjoyed what could be their last weekend out and about for some time.
Gardai are understood to be investigating incidents apparently involving a group of 20-strong Dublin youngsters who were terrorising and targeting random people in Arbour Hill yesterday and on Saturday.
Bridewell Garda Station are asking people to come forward following the several reported unprovoked attacks in the northside inner city area.
A source told Dublin Live: "They were like a wild bunch of animals.
"They are all teenagers, youngsters. They were beating up any random person they could see and stealing bikes off people over the weekend.
"There looked to be about 20 of them and they have been putting fear into people in the area over the last two days."

Another witness reported seeing three young boys being attacked by the group and claimed that they were "beaten with a baton and were badly injured" during the assault.
Elsewhere in a similar incident, an armed 50-strong teenage north Dublin gang stormed another northside area last week in an ongoing local war with young residents there.
The huge and feared group, understood to be from neighbouring Ballymun, descended on Swords equipped with "baseball bats and knives" as part of their ongoing local northside war.
A source told Dublin Live that the Ballymun gang were going around on bikes looking for the Swords group as the minor feud took a major turn.
The source said: "There was about 50 lads who stormed the area from Ballymun.
"They were going around on bikes and were looking for certain members of the Swords group.
"These lads are all underage with most ranging between 15-18.
"Locals were running away from them because they were armed with baseball bats and knives. They meant business."
