Car owners woke up this morning to find their vehicles had been attacked and their windshields smashed in an "appalling" night of vandalism.
The spree of criminal damage happened on Greenbank Lane, near to Spire Liverpool Hospital, Aigburth.
Police said 15 cars were reportedly damaged during the "appalling and needless attack", with one passer-by labelling the culprits "scumbags".

Photographs posted up on Facebook show a number of vehicles parked on the road had suffered extensive damage to their windscreens.
One person said: "Hate to be the bearer of bad news on a Friday morning but if you are the owner of any of these cars parked on Greenbank Lane then you would want to be contacting the police. Some scumbags have obviously been out last night."
People responding to the photographs said they were disgusted and branded whoever damaged the cars as "feral" and "mindless scum".
Police have appealed for witnesses or anyone who may have dashcam or CCTV footage from the area to come forward.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "We are appealing for information following reports of criminal damage.
"At around 8.40am this morning, Friday 28 May, police received a report that the windscreens of 15 cars had been smashed on Greenbank Lane near to Spire Liverpool Hospital.
"An investigation is now underway, and witness and CCTV enquiries are being carried out in the area."
Community Policing Inspector Charlotte Irlam said: “This is an appalling and needless attack which has caused understandable stress and worry to the car owners.
"If you saw the incident or have any dashcam or CCTV footage from the Greenbank Lane or Sefton Park area last night, you may have captured the offender - so please contact us directly or anonymously, and we will take action.”
