13 breathtaking photos of the supermoon known as the ‘blue moon’ in 2023

Did you see the supermoon up in the sky on Wednesday night? It’s another supermoon in 2023, and this one is just as beautiful as the “super flower blood moon,” the “strawberry moon” and the most recent “sturgeon moon.”

It’s the “blue moon,” and it was seen on Wednesday night, on August 30.

This one was a rarity, per USA TODAY: “The last super blue moon was in December 2009. After the super blue moon of August, you’ll need to set a reminder on your calendar for the next one − August 2032, a full nine years from now.”
