Why do some strawberries tend to be white inside and not red? This conundrum has plagued TikTok users for a while now, but the explanation is quite simple. If a strawberry has white innards, it's usually because it isn't ripe yet. Because farmers often are rushed to provide produce as quickly as possible, the berries don't have time to get ripe.
Also, most berry brands do not deliver ripe strawberries to supermarkets because they don't have a long shelf life. While strawberries do ripen after they're picked, they don't get sweeter. That's why strawberries from a farmer's market are more likely to be not only red inside, but also not as sweet.

Before-and-after pics of excavation sites can be pretty fascinating. The one we have here on this list is in the city of Tekin, Germencik County in Turkey. The excavation works started in 2004, and archaeologists had to remove vast amounts of sand and clay to reveal the stadium underneath.
