100 rarest baby names in the UK to inspire new parents

A list of the 100 rarest names in the UK has been released to help inspire new parents.

Everyone wants their new little bundle of joy to be unique and what better way to do that than with a name that no one else has. The only downfall will be that most of these kids probably won't find a water bottle with their name on.

Some parents like to get to know their babies and their personalities, choosing to wait until they are born to pick out a name. From names like Fox to Jesus and Bloom and Cloud, the rarest names across the nation tend to come from famous figures or animals and items.

Play Like Mum has delved into the latest ONS data to reveal the top 100 rarest baby names in the UK for boys and girls. The research's original list of 3,000 names consisted of the names which were registered just three times in England and Wales.
