Ariana Grande is understood to have rented one of the largest apartments in Bishops Avenue’s Buxmead complex when she was filming the first Wicked film in Elstree, with a track titled Hampstead appearing on her latest album in tribute to her time in the area.
The singer is said to have been drawn to the development by its “residential Fort Knox”-style security, set in 2.5 acres of private gardens with a uniformed security team on site.
But that’s not the only draw to the ultra high end collection of 20 apartments on one of London’s most exclusive streets, with its long history of A-list residents, who have included Salma Hayek and her husband French billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault, Justin Bieber, footballers Olivier Giroud and Hugo Lloris, and media mogul Richard Desmond.
Designed to be completely turn key, the fully serviced homes are ready to move into immediately, while the ultra high security also makes it easy to lock up and leave.

Now a seven-bedroom (six en suite) apartment is available for sale, spread across 7,497sq ft of living space with the same again in the form of gardens and terraces – the largest outdoor space of any property in the gated complex.
Set over two floors, the interiors come complete with a Bulthaup kitchen with Gaggenau and Sub-Zero appliances, Carrara marble-clad bathrooms and bespoke cabinetry, silk carpets and hand-painted wallpaper panels.

Within the flat there is also a cinema room and a second kitchen – trending among the UHNW set for the ‘messier’ elements of entertaining – as well as direct lift access from the secure garage.
Residents’ facilities in the development include a 25-metre pool, spa with hammam and jacuzzi, swanky gym, games room with table tennis and bar, and private dining room – as well as a business centre with all the bells and whistles for WFH (and then some).

“This apartment has the presence and glamour of a private residence but with the ease and comfort of a fully-serviced lifestyle,” says Becky Fatemi, executive partner at Sotheby’s International Realty UK, who is marketing the property for £10.95 million.
“Indeed, residents get access to hotel-style services such as maids and a concierge.

“Buxmead attracts individuals at the very top of their fields - global names in business, music, sport and entertainment - who want privacy, discretion and security, but also beauty and comfort.
“Developments like this appeal so strongly to ultra-high-net-worth clients because they deliver exactly what modern buyers expect: prime location, absolute security and exceptional design.”
