'00s alt-rockers Maximo Park just announced an Edinburgh gig at the Liquid Rooms

Alternative rock legends Maximo Park have announced their plan to play a one-off Scottish show in Edinburgh this spring.

The band - who had several mid-00s hits including 'Apply Some Pressure' and 'A Certain Trigger' will take over Edinburgh's Liquid Rooms for their only Scottish show of the year, with tickets on general sale at 9am on March 29.

The gig is part of their new live music project, 'As Long As We Keep Moving’, released on March 1.

The band announced their sixth album  Risk to Exist  in 2017.

They announced this latest show on their Facebook page, and fans were pretty pleased to say the least.

Jimmy Ower wrote: "The Liquid Rooms will be bouncing!

And a few Glaswegian fans complained that the group had chosen Edinburgh and not Glasgow.
