Trump’s giant vanity arch could skip the line

  • The National Capital Planning Commission, chaired by an appointee, has already voted to advance the project, despite a lawsuit from Vietnam War veterans and public opposition.
  • Construction is projected to take two to three years with 20-hour workdays, and the administration asserts that congressional approval is not required for the project.
