Trump warns US will ‘probably’ strike Iran again tonight after declaring ceasefire ‘over’

  • President Donald Trump warned Iran that the United States would likely engage in additional strikes on Wednesday night, following previous attacks.
  • "I'll give a little warning: We're going to hit them hard tonight," Trump told reporters at the NATO summit in Turkey before his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.
  • Trump declared hours earlier that a memorandum of understanding, which served as an initial ceasefire deal between the U.S. and Iran, was "over."
  • Trump did not explicitly state that Washington would return to full-fledged war or clarify if negotiations for a permanent deal would continue.
  • The escalation in hostilities occurred after Iran targeted U.S. military sites in Bahrain and Kuwait, in response to U.S. forces striking Iranian targets following attacks on tankers in the Strait of Hormuz.
