Trump cancels Iran attack ‘subject to being able to rapidly make a DEAL’

Donald Trump announced he would hold off on a threatened new round of military strikes against Iran “subject to being able to rapidly make a DEAL”.
The decision was made after Trump said that "the perimeters of a deal" had been agreed to by Tehran and America’s Middle East allies.
Trump had previously warned of imminent, severe strikes, while Iran had cautioned of a "decisive and proportional response" to any aggression.
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman reportedly urged de-escalation in a phone call with Trump, influencing the decision to pause strikes.
Trump said that Israel has agreed to join the US in efforts to finalise an agreement, which would include the opening of the Strait of Hormuz and an end to Iran’s nuclear threat.
