Spencer Pratt announces plans to sue LA Mayor Karen Bass for ‘reckless negligence’

  • Reality TV star Spencer Pratt finished third in the Los Angeles mayoral primary last week and has largely appeared to accept the election results. While conceding the race in a social media video, he did not mention challenging the vote count.
  • President Trump, however, has cited Pratt’s loss as a prime indication of voter fraud in Los Angeles, without offering evidence.
  • On Sunday, Pratt announced he is suing incumbent Mayor Karen Bass.
  • “I am proud to be teaming up with Karen Bass ' brother in suing his sister for her reckless negligence that led to the destruction of our homes. I hope their Thanksgiving dinner isn't too awks. I know ours hasn't been the same since last year...,” Pratt said on X.
  • Bass and progressive City Council member Nithya Raman will advance to a November run-off election.
