Zootropolis: Disney preview screening and behind-the-scenes masterclass

The modern mammal city of Zootropolis is a place like no other. From the ritzy Sahara Square to the arid Tundratown, it’s a big melting pot of a city, where animals of all shapes and sizes live together. Disney’s stunning new film invites you to join optimistic Officer Judy Hopps, the first bunny rabbit on a police force of tough animals, as she attempts to solve the mystery case of a missing otter.

In a city that’s separated into classes, where animals face prejudices based on preconceived notions about their species, Judy discovers that her task isn’t so easy. But she’s determined to prove herself and crack the case - even if it means partnering with the fast-talking, scam-artist fox Nick Wilde…

If you’re a Disney fan, an animator or a budding director, don’t miss out on this exclusive preview of Zootropolis. The screening is followed by an incredible behind-the- scenes masterclass with the film’s directors Rich Moore (Wreck-It Ralph) and Byron Howard (Tangled). As well as being among the first to watch Zootopia on the big screen, you’ll have the chance to quiz the directors about the making of the film during a lively Q&A session.

More about the directors…

Rich Moore is one of the directors of Zootropolis, and has also directed Wreck-It Ralph, Disney’s 2012 Oscar®-nominated feature. He was one of three original directors on The Simpsons, and the sequence director on The Simpsons Movie. Rich also oversaw the creative development and production of Matt Groening’s Futurama, and has won numerous awards for his work, including the Reuben Award for Best in Television Animation and the 2002 Emmy® for Outstanding Animated Program. He tweets @_rich_moore.

Byron Howard is one of the directors of Zootropolis, and has also co-directed Tangled, Disney’s 2010 worldwide hit feature. The Oscar®-nominated release Bolt marked his debut as a feature film director. Byron started working at Disney in 1991, and has worked on films including Pocahontas, Mulan and Lilo & Stitch. Before becoming a director, he worked as a story artist and character designer. He tweets @ByronPHoward.

Clark Spencer is the producer of Zootropolis, and has also produced Walt Disney Animation Studios’ 2012 nominated feature Wreck-It Ralph, for which he won the Producers Guild of America Award for best animated film. Clark joined Disney in 1990 and in 1999, he produced the Oscar®-nominated feature Lilo & Stitch.
