Zoo gets tiny new guest that fits on end of a pencil

This picture shows the newest addition to a UK zoo - a tiny lizard measuring just a few centimetres.

The Nguru spiny pygmy chameleon is a critically endangered species due to the international pet trade, and is one of the smallest creatures of its kind.

It has now moved to it's new home at Paignton Zoo in Devon, and will soon be on display to guests once it has settled in.

Native to the the Nguru Mountains of East Tanzania, the lizard is spiny and small weighing just a few grams.
