Zoe Ball is filming in Wales today and asking for recommendations

Radio presenter Zoe Ball has taken up camp in Wales as she reveals she is filming for a secret TV show. Unable to reveal many details about the show, Zoe has been asking for Welsh recommendations while presenting her BBC Radio Two breakfast show.

Starting her breakfast show in Welsh, saying "Bore da!", Zoe explained she was presenting from BBC Wales in Cardiff as she was off to Cardigan Bay to do to some filming. She gave very few details about her new project, only mentioning that she was travelling and filming across the UK for it and that it was something she was "passionate" about. She said: "I'm filming something secretive, all I can tell you is it is something I'm quite passionate about and I'm learning lots. That's all I can tell you about at the moment!"

The radio presenter also asked for any Welsh recommendations for places to try and things to do saying, she had had a "lovely welcome" while in the Welsh capital. The recommendations came flooding in as viewers suggested Cardiff Castle, Cardiff Bay, and St Fagans Museum.

Other more unusual suggestions included Splott, due to the cool-sounding name, of course, and also to grab chips and a curry down Caroline Street, which is also fondly known as Chippy Lane. Seeming impressed Zoe joked that she would be heading to Caroline Street for her breakfast. More culinary recommendations included Welsh cakes, which when described by caller Matthew had Zoe drooling, she said: "Matthew, I'm starving!" Some suggested Zoe travelled further afield and visited north Wales and St Davids.

Zoe is not the first celebrity to visit Wales this year as Joe Wicks ran a 5km run around Cardiff and former Love Islander Liberty Poole enjoyed a staycation in Rhayader.
