Zoe Ball gives son Woody words of warning ahead of his appearance on The Circle

Zoe Ball has given her son a heads up as he gets ready to appear on Channel 4 reality series The Circle.

Woody Cook, 18, knows all about fame thanks to his showbiz mum and DJ father Fatboy Slim.

The social-media show follows eight different people who live for three weeks in the same apartment complex but don't actually meet.

They communicate only through an app - and it gets very competitive.

There's £100,000 up for grabs for the winner of the show hosted by Emma Willis. It all gets under way on Tuesday.

Woody says he has been given advice from both parents about the consequence of being in the public eye.

He said: "My parents do know I'm doing the show and they are supportive.

"They have given me a lot to think about from past experiences and advice.

"They said that what you say on TV is out there forever and you can't unsay it - and that once you share too much you never unshare it.

"I might tell one person (about his parents) if I really trust them. My whole life a lot of people have already known who I am before I meet them. This is a good chance to see if people actually like me on my own."

The Brighton teenager is already thinking about how he could use the winnings.

"I wouldn't spend it all immediately," he said.

"I'd get a lot of musical equipment and start working on my dream. The dream is to gather a group of mates and make a record label."

But he doesn't think his famous parents will make people things difficult.

"I might get more attention outside of the show but there will be no real extra pressure on me inside The Circle because no one will know who they are!" he added.

Woody came out as bisexual back in January.

He initially ignored his attraction towards boys, but opened up following a discussion with a lesbian at a party.

He said: "There was this girl I really liked who said: 'It’s a shame you're not a girl, I'm only really into girls - it's great being gay.' And I said; 'Yeah, I’m gay too, I’m bisexual.'

"I just said it as a laugh at the time, but then the next day I woke up and thought: 'Why did I say that?'. And then, the more I thought about it I thought; 'Oh my god, that explains everything!'

The Circle launches on Tuesday at 9.15pm on Channel 4
