Zlatan Ibrahimovic to miss Celtic clash as AC Milan legend suffers injury blow

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will miss Celtic’s clash with AC Milan next month after suffering a hamstring injury.

The Sweden legend picked up the knock during the 3-1 win over Napoli on Sunday that saw Milan move to the top of the table.

And Sky Italia are now saying Ibrahimovic will miss the next couple of weeks, and even up to a month.

He'll undergo a scan in 10 days to determine how long he'll miss for Stefano Piolo's men and is likely to be ruled out until later in December.

Celtic travel to Milan to face the Italian giants at the San Siro on December 3, although their European hopes could be over by then if they lose to Sparta Prague on Thursday night.

Ibrahimovic had grabbed a double during the 3-1 win over Napoli as Milan look to end their long wait for a Scudetto.

The 39-year-old didn’t score during the Europa League opener at Celtic Park, when Milan ran out 3-1 winners.

Neil Lennon’s men are currently bottom of their Europa League group, with just a single point from their three matches.
