Zlatan Ibrahimovic passed fit for AC Milan's Europa League clash with Shamrock Rovers

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been passed fit to play in tomorrow’s Europa League tie between Shamrock Rovers and AC Milan.

The star forward missed Milan’s pre-season friendly against Brescia last weekend but boss Stefano Pioli says the Swede is now raring to go.

Milan traveled to Dublin today and Pioli said: “He has fully recovered, he is very well mentally, he’s involved. He will be competitive and fully available.

The seven-time European champions are not used to contesting the Europa League qualifiers and are wary of the Hoops.

“Returning to the Champions League is our main priority,” said Pioli. “We’re ready to do that but first we want to reach the group stage of this Europa League.

“We have to think about tomorrow’s match because Shamrock Rovers are doing well and they’re an intense team.”

Piolo continued: “Three weeks of preparation is not a lot but we’ve done everything we can to be ready. In sport, it’s the wrong approach if you take something for granted.

“This is our first competitive match and we’re aware of the difficulties because our opponents play good football.

“Shamrock Rovers are also in better shape physically. But we cannot think about the difficulties, we must think about the opportunities.

New signings Sandro Tonali, Brahim Diaz and Ciprian Tatarusanu are available for the Tallaght Stadium clash.

AC Milan squad:

Goalkeepers: Tatarusanu, A. Donnarumma, G. Donnarumma

Defenders: Calabria, Hernandez, Kjaer, Duarte, Gabbia, Laxalt.

Midfielders: Bennacer, Tonali, Calhanoglu, Diaz, Krunic, Saelemaekers, Kessie,

Attackers: Ibrahimovic, Colombo, Maldini, Castillejo
