Zlatan Ibrahimovic 'interested in Everton transfer' to reunite with Carlo Ancelotti

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is reportedly keen on a return to the Premier League with Everton .

Everton are set to finalise the appointment of Carlo Ancelotti later this week, with the Italian expected to be in the stands for the weekend visit of Arsenal .

Ancelotti has agreed a £11.5million-a-year deal and is likely to want funds to strengthen the squad when the transfer window opens.

And a move for former Manchester United striker Ibrahimovic could be on the cards, reports the Telegraph.

The 38-year-old is a free agent after leaving LA Galaxy and has been linked with a host of clubs, including former side AC Milan.

But the Italian giants have suggested a move is unlikely and that has boosted Everton's hopes of landing the Swede, despite their lowly position in the Premier League.

Ibrahimovic is said to be interested in moving to Goodison Park to reunite with Ancelotti, who he worked with in Milan.

Everton have been struggling for goals this season with £27m signing Moise Kean yet to find the net for the club.

Cenk Tosun finds himself out of favour and while Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been in decent form of late, he is not a prolific striker.

Ancelotti is expected on Merseyside in the next 24 hours after agreeing a three-and-a-half year deal

He will officially take charge after that game and his first match in the dug-out will be the Boxing Day clash with Burnley at Goodison.
