Zlatan Ibrahimovic has claimed he has received many offers from Premier League clubs to join them if he leaves Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.
The 34-year-old’s contract ends after this season and he is expected to move from the French champions then.
“I have had lots of offers from English clubs,” he said. “I have won a lot of trophies but I still want to win a lot more. I want to do it wherever I can.”
On Tuesday night PSG were eliminated from the Champions League by Manchester City, who progressed to the semi-finals 3-2 on aggregate after a 1-0 home win in the quarter-final second leg. “Look, I am disappointed. I think we gave away two games here but that is football, I suppose,” said Ibrahimovic, who is yet to win a Champions League winner’s medal.
“Whatever I say, we still lost the game. I think we were better but we still made too many mistakes, especially in the first game. We didn’t use the qualities that we have and didn’t do good enough. We have to wish all the best to City now and play for what is left to play for. I think it is still two cups.”
When asked how far he thought City could progress in the Champions League, Ibrahimovic added: “It depends who they play against. But they will get the experience from this, that’s for sure.”
