Zlatan Ibrahimovic grabs his crotch in confrontation with angry fan on 'last' LA Galaxy appearance

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was involved in a controversial incident following Los Angeles Galaxy’s MLS play-off defeat on Thursday night, grabbing his crotch in the direction of a gloating rival fan.

The Galaxy were beaten 5-3 by city rivals LAFC in the Western Conference semi-finals, in what may prove to be Ibrahimovic’s final game for the club.

The Swedish striker was on the scoresheet at the Banc of California Stadium, but could not stop LAFC reaching their first conference final, as former Arsenal striker Carlos Vela – with whom Ibrahimovic has had a public spat - scored twice.

As he left the field, Ibrahimovic appeared to take exception to one fan’s taunts, aiming the gesture at him, before also taking a pop at the league in his post-match interview as speculation mounts over his future.

Vela finished the regular season as the league's top scorer, and outshone Ibrahimovic in their playoff match-up

“What happens next year? I don’t know,” the 38-year-old said. “If I stay, it will be good for MLS because the whole world will watch it.
