Zion Williamson declared for the NBA draft and everyone made Knicks jokes

Duke Blue Devils star freshman Zion Williams shocked absolutely nobody on Monday when he announced that he will be taking his talents to the NBA.

We all knew that was coming after his incredible freshman season because he’s simply too good and this is just what happens when you are way too good.

Zion will likely be the No. 1 pick in the upcoming NBA draft, a pick the Knicks and their fans would love to land in the NBA draft lottery on May 14 in Chicago.

But before we get to that fun, Zion thanked his family, Coach K, Duke’s coaching staff, and fans in an Instagram post on Monday, saying in part:

“I just want to say thank you. Thank you for making this year the best year of my life. I can’t put into words how special this year was.”
