Zion Williamson Day-To-Day With Finger Injury, X-Rays Negative

Cossacks vote on the second day of three-day long presidential election in Rostov Region

New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson is currently listed as day-to-day due to a finger injury on his left hand. Coach Willie Green confirmed that X-rays and scans showed no structural damage, with the issue being attributed to soreness in the finger.

Williamson's injury forced him to sit out the final minutes of the Pelicans' recent game against the Orlando Magic, which ended in a 117-108 loss. The star player mentioned post-game that he had experienced multiple hits to the finger, with the initial incident likely occurring during the second quarter when he collided with the backboard while blocking a layup attempt.

The Pelicans, currently occupying the seventh spot in the competitive Western Conference standings, are gearing up to face the San Antonio Spurs on Friday. With Williamson's availability uncertain for the upcoming game, Coach Green stated that a decision on his participation will be made closer to the match.

In addition to Williamson's injury, the Pelicans are also contending with setbacks to Brandon Ingram, who is sidelined with a left knee bone contusion, and Jose Alvarado, who is dealing with a right oblique strain. Ingram has missed the team's last seven games, while Alvarado has been absent for the past four matchups.
