Zion Williamson, Alvin Kamara cameo in Saints quarterback challenge

The New Orleans Saints quarterbacks challenge has become a daily feature at training camp, with Drew Brees and his backups competing for the best trick shots. He’s been having a blast with Teddy Bridgewater, Taysom Hill, and J.T. Barrett, but their latest outing drew some new faces: running back Alvin Kamara, and New Orleans Pelicans rookie Zion Williamson.

Brees embraced the appeal in a crossover episode, coming up with a challenge that involved fitting footballs into basketball goals — standing behind the goalposts inside the Saints indoor practice facility. The Saints quarterbacks, Kamara, and Williamson took turns making the shots from varying distances across the field. Check it out:

Williamson isn’t the only Pelicans player who wants in on the action. Josh Hart, one of his teammates acquired in a blockbuster trade with the Los Angeles Lakers for Anthony Davis, is eager to share the field with Brees and Hill. And Williamson definitely seemed to enjoy the challenge of competing against some other professional athletes. There’s a good chance the Saints and Pelicans run it back in the near future.
