Zinedine Zidane speaks out on the players he wants in summer transfer window

Zinedine Zidane has admitted he already has a good idea about the type of player he would like to bring in this summer as he looks to turn around Real Madrid's fortunes.

Madrid have had a poor season, crashing out to Ajax in the Champions League last 16 and finding themselves a massive 13 points behind league leaders and bitter rivals Barcelona in La Liga.

It is likely there will be a huge amount of chopping and changing at the Bernabeu this summer, with a whole host of players linked with moves to the club while the likes of Gareth Bale could well be shown the exit.

When asked at a press conference what his plans were for the summer, Zidane confirmed he had already been thinking about additions to the squad.

"I know exactly what I want," he said. "Nothing is ever concrete with these things, it's just what you aim to do, your desire to change certain things, that's all.

"We have talked about player profiles and that is clear in my head. We'll see what we can do. What is certain is that there will be changes. You can never stand still."

When asked about Bale's future Zidane yet again refused to comment.

"We have not talked about that and we're not going to talk about that," he said. "We are thinking about the game tomorrow and nothing else."

Exciting youngster Vincius Junior may be fit to play his first game under Zidane, although Zidane has called for caution from the 18-year-old.

"I'm glad to see him with us but he has to go slowly," Zidane said. "He has been out for two months so we have to be very careful with him. He has shown his quality and he is an exciting player for the future."
