Zinedine Zidane restores Keylor Navas and Isco to Real Madrid XI as Thibaut Courtois is dropped

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has handed starts to Keylor Navas, Isco and Marcelo in the first game of his second spell as coach.

Navas had lost his place to summer signing Thibaut Courtois and has only been featuring in the Copa del Rey this season, but he returns in goal ahead of the Belgian.

Marcelo, frozen out under Santiago Solari and without a start since the Copa del Rey first leg against Barcelona in early February, also returns to the side.

Isco’s situation was similar and the midfielder was left out of the squad altogether for Solari’s last two games, but he starts against Celta Vigo at the Santiago Bernabeu today.

There are also starts for Alvaro Odriozola, Marco Asensio and Gareth Bale as Sergio Ramos returns from suspension.
