Zinedine Zidane drops transfer hint and it doesn't sound like good news for Thibaut Courtois

Zinedine Zidane has revealed that he is already making plans for the summer transfer window, and it sounds like it could have an impact on Thibaut Courtois future with the club.

The French World Cup winner has said that there will be no debate over goalkeepers next season after starting Courtois, Keylor Navas and Enzo Zidane in recent weeks.

The Belgian glovesman joined Real Madrid on transfer deadline day for £35m and signed a six-year deal but is already playing for his third manager at the club.

It is believed that Zidane had vetoed a move for Courtois during his initial spell in charge of Los Blancos and it has been well documented that Navas has been a favourite of the former Juventus star.

The Real Madrid boss' latest comments seem ominous for for one of the stoppers.

He said: “I assure you that next year there will be no debate about the goalkeeper.

"Whether I will play with a regular goalkeeper next year? That depends on the keepers that I will have in my squad. At the moment I have three good ones.

"But there will be certainly no debate, I tell you that now. It's going to be pretty clear."

Zidane also admitted that summer plans are well underway: "I am speaking to the club, I have told the club what we want to do. We are already doing that. At the end of the season things will be made public."

However, if Courtios' comments from last month are anything to go by, he isn't planning on leaving the Bernabea soon. He called for his former teammate Eden Hazard to join him.

"I don't know if he is going to sign for Real Madrid, nor do I know if the club want him," he told Onda Cero, as reported by The Mirror .

"For me, he is a great player, but I don't decide those things.

"Each one decides what he does with his life. For me, he is one of the best in the world and as a friend I would like him to be here."
