Zinedine Zidane delivers huge update on potential move for Chelsea star Eden Hazard

The future of Eden Hazard will be a subject of much debate between now and the end of the summer transfer window.

The Belgian playmaker is never far from the headlines, whether that be for something he has done on the pitch, or something that he has said off it about his future.

Hazard has never made any secret of the fact that playing for Real Madrid would be a dream for him in the future.

There was much speculation last summer about a potential transfer to the La Liga outfit, but the Blues stood firm and kept hold of their star man in the end.

But there are no guarantees they will be able to keep him at Stamford Bridge this summer.

Real are reportedly interested in Hazard and former Barcelona striker Neymar, who said this week that he would love to play alongside the Belgian.

Real take on Rayo Vallecano in La Liga tomorrow and during his pre-match press conference, Zidane was asked if the Bernabeu could be a place where Neymar's dreams of playing with Hazard could be fulfilled.

He said: "I think so. It's the same for many players because they know that this club is important and many players, someday, want to play at this club, so that's normal.

"I am clear about what I want to do [next season] and the profile of the players I want. I won't be saying names but I have a clear idea of what I want to do and what I want to achieve."

The future of former Spurs star Gareth Bale is also on the agenda, and Zidane was questioned on whether the Welshman would be compatible with Hazard.

"All the good players are compatible, always," he said. "They told me that I would not be compatible with [Youri] Djorkaeff. Absolute nonsense."
