Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's role as Manchester United manager continues to be just hanging on to his job, as rumours continue to arise around potential new candidates .
After devastating losses to Liverpool and Manchester City, United have now lost six loss in 12 games across all competitions.
And with United likely falling out of the title race in November, speculation continues to grow around Solskjaer's future - with the manager flying back to Norway earlier this week during the hiatus to domestic football.
The Manchester Evening News understands that Solskjaer's position remains safe for now and is expected to be in charge of the trip to Watford next week. The club are unwilling to dismiss their manager without a suitable replacement lined up.
Here is a round-up of the latest rumours involving Solskjaer's future at the club.
United approach Zinedine Zidane
The Sunday Times have reported that the club have begun to attempt to convince Zinédine Zidane to succeed Solskjaer.
Triple Champions League winner and two-time La Liga champion as a coach, Zidane has built up an impressive resume during his years as manager of Real Madrid in his two spells at the club.
Having left in the summer, Zidane is now available. However, he's said to be unsure whether United is the right job for him to take at this point.
The Times report that the club are hopeful that his close relationships with their key summer signings Cristiano Ronaldo and Raphaël Varane - who he worked with at Real Madrid - can help to convince him to join.

Brendan Rodgers house hunting
Elsewhere, Brendan Rodgers is house hunting in the Manchester area, according to the Express.
Rodgers has been rumoured to be United's number one priority should they sack Solskjaer, as the Leicester manager has not publicly ruled out joining United in-season.
Rodgers has bounced back impressively after being sacked from Liverpool in 2015.
The Northern Irishman enjoyed a successful spell at Celtic before joining Leicester City, where his attacking style of play has improved the Foxes - who have now become top-four challengers since his arrival.
The Express claims that Rodgers has been looking for properties in Cheshire.

Mauricio Pochettino open to Premier League return
Finally, the Telegraph have reported that PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino would be open to returning to the Premier League.
However, the Argentinian now looks set to remain in Paris for the foreseeable future after seemingly winning over the fans and players after a shaky start.
PSG now sit 10 points clear at the top of the table, whilst second in their Champions League group table.
The manager will not likely look to leave anytime soon, with the likes of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar at his disposal.
However, the Express have stated that he would consider a move if approached by United.
