Zimbabwe allows foreign media owners

The Zimbabwean government has softened security and media laws that critics say have helped him entrench Robert Mugbe's rule. The changes, brokered by South African president Thabo Mbeki, will open Zimbabwe's media to foreign owners but foreign journalists will continue to be barred from working permanently in the country.
