France's inspirational playmaker Zinedine Zidane is set to play against Denmark in the world champions' final group match in Inchon on Tuesday, French team doctor Jean-Marcel Ferret has confirmed.
"He (Zidane) will officially resume training with his team mates this afternoon," Ferret said. "And if everything goes right in the next three days, he could be fit to play."
Zidane, who tore a thigh muscle on May 26 in a warm-up game against co-hosts South Korea, has missed France's first two games, in which they suffered a shock 1-0 defeat to Senegal and were held to a goalless draw by Uruguay with 10-men.
France are bottom of group A with one point and need to a two-goal win over Denmark to be sure of reaching the last 16.
