Zero Dublin Covid-19 test slots available on HSE online portal today
There are no available online Covid-19 test slots in the capital today.
Through the HSE booking portal, Dubliners are able to register themselves for a free test in either Citywest, Croke Park, Shrewsbury Road, Finglas, Nexus Building, Tallaght Stadium or Sandyford.
However, there are zero appointments left in any of the centres for Tuesday, September 14.
Those in Kildare face a similar situation, with zero appointments left at their only mass testing centre at Punchestown Racecourse.
There are also no appointments available today in any of the Meath, Wicklow and Louth mass testing centres.
Monday, September 13 saw the highest number of daily Covid tests done in Ireland since the pandemic began.
HSE CEO Paul Reid said on Twitter yesterday: "Today will be our highest daily volume for #COVID19 testing since this pandemic began.
"Over 23,000 community tests done & likely over 30,000 in total incl hospitals & serial testing.
"An extremely high rate and we have to monitor capacity over the coming days."
A HSE spokesperson told Dublin Live: " Yesterday, Monday, September 13 over 23,000 had a test booked for Monday, capacity stands at 20,000 nationally.
"Covid-19 Testing in Dublin is extremely busy today, Tuesday, September 14. Capacity has been left for GP referral and close contact referrals which come in throughout the day.
"Depending on volumes received from these channels we will continue to adjust self-referral capacity if we can. We would recommend people check back during the day."
